Fatigue and breathlessness are common symptom but patients with severe Covid-19 frequently suffer brain complications and the virus can also cause serious cardiovascular problems.

Elaine Maxwell, is author of the NIHR review Living with Covid published last month and describes herself as a ‘knowledge broker’ when it comes to this multi aspect condition.
Prof Gerome Breen of Kings College London is co-lead of the COVID-19 Clinical Neuroscience Study (COVID-CNS) which will look at neurological or neuropsychiatric complications following Covid.
Dr David Strain of Exeter University Medical School, has been heavily involved in the Covid-19 response team. He is part of a team Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Clinic where he is already seeing patients with Long Covid.
